DC has revealed that the upcoming 20th anniversary edition of Batman: Hush will feature five new pages of story. Even better, these new pages will come from the original creators of the story, Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee. The fan-favorite story debuted in 2002/2003 and sees Batman face-off against Tommy Elliot AKA Hush.

Batman: Hush 20th Anniversary Edition

The upcoming 20th anniversary edition includes the original twelve-part story. That initial arc took place in the pages of Batman #608-619 and will now be collected. Alongside the story, the anniversary edition features a ton of extra materials. They include sketches and annotations from artist Jim Lee. He is also bringing new cover art to the edition. Alongside Lee, Jeph Loeb, inker Scott Williams, colors Alex Sinclair, and letterer Richard Starkings are behind this new edition. It is set for release on October 18.

Five New Pages, Oh My!

The five new pages in Batman: Hush will take place after the events in Batman #619. Specifically, it details the events that took place after Hush’s conspiracy against Bruce Wayne ended. Two of the panels from these new pages have been revealed exclusively by IGN. These panels show Batman swimming through the depths and coming upon a sunken ship. The caped crusader remarks that the ship contains lead, which would prevent Superman from helping him search. Then he finds a corpse adorned in a Lexcorp suit.

The pages offer just enough to get us interested, but no concrete information. While the identity of the dead body is unknown, CBR ponders if Batman is searching for a different corpse. That of Tommy Elliot, AKA Hush. After all, issue #619 culminated in a battle between Batman and Hush that ended with Harvey Dent shooting the latter. The other panel shows Batman and Superman discussing Elliot’s fate. The Man of Steel believes Hush’s body was dragged to sea.

Batman: Hush 20th Anniversary Edition will likely leave more questions than answers to this fan-favorite arc. However, it could also lead to some continuations in the future.
