Beyond The Legacy

Batman Beyond initially ran for 52 episodes starting on January 10, 1999. The show was a critical and ratings success and won two Emmy’s, which included Outstanding Special Class Animated Program.

The universe created for the show was quite intriguing. Viewers got to see what happened to an older Batman as well as what happened to some of the rogue’s gallery over the years. The show dipped its toe into something not quite touched upon in the Bat-verse and it worked especially well.

Batman Beyond had so much more to give fans before its untimely cancellation. Justice League helped give viewers some closer with the episode “Epilogue.” Fans would have liked to get another season, but at the very least, they got something to walk off into the sunset with.

Batman Beyond: The Complete Series is out now and retails for $79.99 at retailers everywhere.
