Batman: Arkham Knight launched back in June in mostly flawless fashion on both PS4 and Xbox One, but the PC release was another story. Plagued by bugs and just downright not working for many, the game was completely pulled from Steam. While the game was finally released again this week, it is still having a lot of problems.

It was already looking rough when WB posted a blog post on Steam talking about the game and potential issues. The first was that some that had been playing it for a long period of time on Windows 7 were experiencing hard drive paging issues. Luckily, this can be fixed by simply resetting the game.

However, Windows 10 owners are in much worse shape, as WB now recommends those who are going to play it to have 12 GB of system RAM as this may be needed to “operate without paging and provides a smoother gameplay experience.”

Even worse, according to EuroGamer, Digital Foundry looked into the game’s release and stated that they didn’t even see any differences from this release and the last patch the game got back in September for those that already had the game downloaded. This latest one simply added in support for the add-on content.

The question is why release it now if they knew there were going to be these issues, due to not even really updating anything since September. Hopefully they will continue to make this experience better, but it has not been a smooth experience so far for those on PC, without requiring a large amount of RAM to play it.
