When the highly anticipated Batman: Arkham Knight was revealed a few months ago, we only received a vague release date of 2014 at the time. However, after weeks of speculation, it was officially announced that the game has been pushed to 2015. Luckily, it appears that we may not have to wait too long into next year to get our hands on the final game in Rocksteady’s Arkham trilogy.

In an interview with Kevin Conroy, the voice we grew up with on Batman: The Animated Series, discussed the game and how much work it has required. He then went on to say that the game would be coming out next January, rather than just next year. He could of course be misinformed, as he is only the voice actor, but Conroy is usually pretty on the nose about these kind of things.

Interestingly enough, he does mention that it was set to come out this past January at one point, which might have been the original plan before Warner Bros. Montreal stepped in with Batman: Arkham Origins in the meantime. Conroy continues that the game has been in development for a year and a half now, so the game should have a full two years of development time by the time it is released next January, if he is correct.

Conroy also states that the reason it has been delayed is “because it is so awesome.” You’ve now heard it from the man himself, and Batman wouldn’t mislead us, right?

If you want to hear the above information straight from Kevin Conroy, plus some more praise he puts on Batman: Arkham Knight, you can check out the interview below, which also has some other discussions that include his recent work on Discovery Channel. Who wouldn’t want to listen to Conroy’s voice narrate just about anything, anyways? To see the specific discussion about Batman: Arkham Knight, skip to the five minute mark of the below video.
