It wasn’t too long ago that Bandai Namco confirmed that Gotenks, Kid Buu and Adult Gohan would be joining the roster for Dragon Ball FighterZ and with the other two already getting gameplay trailers, it’s now Adult Gohan’s turn to stand in the lime light.

The trailer gives a brief look at what to expect out of Adult Gohan once Dragon Ball FighterZ releases next year, showing him using several special and super attacks, like an overhead elbow strike technique and his Kamehameha.

Unfortunately, what the trailer doesn’t show off is his unique mechanic that was highlighted previously: ki-boosted attacks. According to a past issue of V-Jump, Gohan is capable of expending his ki in order to boost the strength of his attacks. However, due to the format of the trailer we don’t get to see it in action or even know if it was activated in the first place. It seems like a waste for a character to have such a mechanic only for it not to be shown when the chance presents itself.

In either case, the trailer — though short — is still pretty cool, so it still has that going for it.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Jan. 26, 2018, while Japan will join in on the action on Feb. 1.
