Baldur’s Gate 3 will be coming to Early Access in August. That is if there are no further problems with COVID-19 in the studio. That and a new trailer were announced during the Guerilla Collective Livestream.

Founder of Larian Studios, Swen Vincke, announced the game would possibly be available as early as August. However, it could be pushed back if work was interrupted by the virus. Otherwise, Vincke revealed development on Baldur’s Gate 3 is moving along and they are enhancing graphics, going over mechanics, and working with voice actors to fine-tune voice-over and capture movement.

Vincke also announced there will be more gameplay reveal of Baldur’s Gate 3 during D&D Live 2020 on June 18. The streaming event will run through Saturday the 20 and will also showcase the next D&D campaign book. Fans will get to decide if Vincke challenges a hobgoblin that he claims deserves to be killed, or if he ventures into the depths of the Underdark and runs into the main antagonists, the mind flayers.

Larian Studios also released a new community update video detailing more information about the game and what to expect going forward.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is a sequel to Baldur’s Gate II and was first revealed during E3 2019.
