Baldur’s Gate 3 is coming, we’re just not sure when yet. But that isn’t stopping Larian Studios from releasing new details about the sequel to one of Dungeons and Dragons best video game series ever.

Larian teased the announcement was coming one day before showing the short trailer. The sizzle footage showcased new in game footage for Baldur’s Gate 3.

 

While fans wait for the game to release, Larian will be announcing new information about it throughout June. Who knows, by the end of the month, we may get an actual release date announcement or at least a playable beta or demo.

The video showed off a few spells and classes in action. As well as revealing a few locations players will be visiting such as a stunning pond complete with waterfall, some ruins; which every D&D player will be familiar with, and the Underdark; where the games’ antagonists the mind flayers call home.

As for the Guerrilla Collective, it’s an event starting June 6 that will showcase online digital games. With physical conventions being postponed or cancelled this year, developers are looking to online events to reveal their games. The Guerrilla Collective will be hosted by Kinda Funny Games’ Greg Miller. The event runs through June 8 and will be live streamed on Twitch.

Swen Vincke, the founder of Larian Studios, says while production in general as slowed in the past few months, development on Baldur’s Gate 3 is progressing.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has not release date yet but it will release on Steam Early Access sometime in 2020.
