Baldur’s Gate 3’s original Early Access release date is being pushed back but just by one week. Larian Studios made the decision early September 23 and revealed why the development team decided to delay the upcoming Dungeons and Dragons sequel. There are a few issues the team is running into, according to a statement posted to social media. One of which is stability problems with language translations. Of course, they are also fixing a few bugs and glitches too but they didn’t go into detail on what they were.

Larian is also running through the Baldur’s Gate 3 with a speedrunning program they call the “World Tester”. It’s like an actual speed runner but it doesn’t skip important parts, doorways, or cutscenes to get to the end.

Thankfully, a week’s delay (to October 6th) is all we expect to need to triple check stability, and triple check localization.”

It appears this is the only delay to Baldur’s Gate 3 as the end of the statement promised that “It is. It really is.”. Baldur’s Gate 3 is shaping up to be quite a large game and we also now know the PC specifications to run it.
