As the year draws to a close, everyone seems to be sharing their Spotify Wrapped Playlists on social media. Now, Spotify has shared its rankings for the year as well. For the third year, rapper Bad Bunny takes the lead as Spotify’s most streamed artist. This is a tremendous honor, as Spotify is the largest streaming platform for music.

Bad Bunny being Spotify’s most streamed artist for 2022 comes after the May release of his latest album, Un Verano Sin Ti. The rapper’s album had the most weeks at number one on Billboard of any album this year, which Spotify streams contribute to. Bad Bunny’s album is a commercial success, and he has garnered multiple Grammy nominations for the year. In fact, Un Verano Sin Ti is the first Spanish-language album to get a nomination for Album Of The Year at the Grammys.

Congrats to Bad Bunny for becoming Spotify’s most streamed attest for the third consecutive year. Of course, the music industry has great competition, but Bad Bunny has a large and dedicated fan base.

Spotify’s Most Streamed Artists Of The Year

Bad Bunny had some pretty stiff competition for the top-streamed artist of the year. Right behind him is Taylor Swift, who had a huge latter part of the year with the release of Midnights. Drake was third on the list of the most streamed artists on Spotify for 2022. This came after putting out two albums this year and being a streaming mainstay. In addition, rounding out the top five artists of the year on Spotify are both The Weekend and BTS. Of course, you can check out your top streamed artists in the streaming app if you use it as your music platform.

Does Spotify’s top five musicians line up with your Spotify Wrapped Playlist? So, do you think Bad Bunny will take the title next year for the fourth time in a row since he’s such a beloved Spanish-language rapper?
