Season 19 of Bachelorette premiered in July, although filming started in March and ended in May. Rachel and Tino, the winner of season 19, got engaged in Mexico after Tino remained the last man standing.
Tino and Rachel were only together for a few months when trouble broke out. Tino admitted that things got complicated between them without cameras and the spotlight.
The two went through a rough patch between July and August. Then just before the September 20 finale, the reality TV stars broke up. It turned out that Tino kissed a girl during a group outing while he was still engaged to Rachel. Subsequently, Rachel called off their engagement between August and September.
Tino Reveals Why He Cheated On Rachel
The 28-year-old divulged that he is still in love with the pilot during his appearance on the Viall Files podcast on Thursday, October 20.
Tino confessed that his insecurities and ego led him to make a big mistake. He explained that he went out with friends over the summer when he and Rachel had a rough time in their relationship.
The contractor disclosed that he met a lady he knew before filming during that time and kissed her. However, the TV personality added that he wasn’t sure if he and Rachel could work things out at that time.
The Bachelorette winner also admitted to his other mistake. He regretted not telling Rachel immediately it happened, a mistake he claims is almost as bad as him cheating on her. Rachel only found out about four days after the incident.
Now that Bachelorette‘s Tino Franco and Rachel Recchia have ended their engagement, it remains to be seen if she will end up with runner-up Aven Jones. Tino has also expressed his desire to be there for her if she ever needs him. However, this can only happen if she can forgive him and forget what happened.
