Bachelor Nation’s Hayden Markowitz finally apologizes to Rachel and Gabby for his bad attitude. Moreover, he used very disparaging words about the two on the Bachelorette. We will refrain from using the word but can tell you that it rhymes with witches. As you can imagine, Bachelor Nation was pretty up in arms about the slang, and Markowitz was pretty much immediately in hot water following it.

Rachel and Gabby have yet to respond to the public apology, understandably. The problem is, this is an old hat for Bachelor Nation. The old “canned apology;” it can be really hard to tell how authentic they are. And after a while, so many apologies have happened, they all start sounding the same after a while. To us, anyway.

“For those who watched tonight’s episode, you saw me at my absolute worst and lowest moment,” the 29-year-old wrote on Instagram. “I have always tried to carry myself with humility and respect for others. However, my complete lapse of judgement was not only disappointing but it was absolutely unacceptable. I genuinely want to express my deepest apologies to both Gabby and Rachel for my actions. I take full responsibility for not being the man I was raised to be in those moments, especially towards these two wonderful deserving ladies who I truly do respect.”

But here’s the thing. You can punch someone in the face and then say sorry to them 100 times, but it doesn’t take away the bruise or the impact of the punch. Bachelor Nation’s Hayden Markowitz immediately apologizes to Rachel and Gabby for his crass language. But we have to wonder. Is he sorry, or is he sorry he was called out? Only he knows.

But in the end, that’s one thing about “the nation’. They always get their apologies.
