Avengers Unlimited Infinity Comic Goes To Space The Nerd Stash

The Avengers Unlimited Infinity Comic is kicking off a new arc that takes the heroes to space. The ninth issue from Murewa Ayodele and Dotun Akande sees Captain Marvel, Iron Man, War Machine, Ironheart, and Captain America leave Earth. They find themselves on a far-off alien planet and caught up in an interplanetary war! Can the Avengers survive the Kaiju War?

Earlier this Summer, Marvel introduced an entirely new and unexplored portion of the universe: the Borderlands. In the fallout of the Reckoning War, the Watcher transformed the barrier that protects the universe from potential danger. That barrier became the Borderlands, a new area of the universe that is 1000% its original size and ready to be explored.

This opened the Marvel Universe for heroes to mount new explorations and voyages into the vast unknown. Now, it looks like the Avengers will be getting a taste of this new area in the upcoming intergalactic arc to the Avengers Unlimited Infinity Comic. As the Iron trio and two Captains find themselves embroiled in a Kaiju War, it is clear that this part of the universe is ready for a fight!

What Do We Know About The Avengers Unlimited Infinity Comic?

Writer Murewa Ayodele shared a bit about the intergalactic arc on their social media. In preparation for this week’s release, they shared that it stars some of their favorite Marvel characters. This includes Iron Man, Ironheart, and War Machine. While much of the plot is kept under wraps, the writer shared that it sees the Avengers exploring a never-before-seen part of the Marvel Cosmic Landscape.

While that is all they shared, they did mention that this ninth issue is a prologue for the galactic story. It also begins the “Ironfam” arc. With Iron Man, Ironheart, and War Machine involved, it sounds like the suited superheroes will play a pivotal role. Dubbed the “Kaiju War,” perhaps these brainiacs work together to build an ultra-Kaiju-iron-suit! An Iron Man kaiju would be pretty awesome!
