Avengers: Endgame is almost here. Tickets are on sale, a new teaser was released, and the Russo brothers are revealing that Tom Holland wasn’t allowed to have a script for Infinity War or Endgame. Wait, what was that last one?

As reported by Comicbook.com, Infinity War and Endgame director Joe Russo stated that:

Joe Russo later went on to say:

Now, to some, this may be a little harsh. To be fair to one half of the Russo directing team though, Tom Holland does have the propensity to reveal spoilers. He let slip that the Spider-Man: Homecoming series would be a trilogy. He accidentally spoiled Avengers: Infinity War for an audience who was at a screening for said film. He even spoiled big-time plot details of Jurassic: The Fallen Kingdom to co-star Chris Pratt (who stars in the Jurassic World series). Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays Doctor Strange in the MCU, was alongside Holland during Infinity War’s press tour and luckily kept him from spoiling the movie a few times.

Since late last year, Cumberbatch has been rumored to be getting a pay raise from Marvel. I’m not necessarily saying that the two are connected but it would surprise me if Marvel wasn’t impressed with how Cumberbatch handled the press tour. It was certainly better than Mark Ruffalo’s time on the tour (I’d skip to about the 1:50 mark):

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters April 26th.
