The Avengers: Age of Ultron box office prediction from experts has now been raised. Analysts are confident now the movie will exceed its predecessor by a considerable margin.
The Avengers in 2012 set a new North American box office record getting $207.4 million in just three days. The Avengers: Age of Ultron box office prediction is set to exceed this number. As reported by Deadline, analysts believe the movie can get between $210 to even $230 million over the North American weekend. This will break the box office record set by the first movie three years ago.
A rival studio said even if Avengers: Age of Ultron “only” grosses $190 million over the weekend, this is still a big achievement. It’s not every day that you see a movie open to numbers like this. Last year, no movie came close to opening close to $150 million let alone anything around the $200 million mark.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron box office prediction was raised this week mainly because tickets for the movie have been selling like hotcakes recently. The movie is selling 3.7 times greater than the first film and 4.6 times greater than Iron Man 3. It’s already outselling Furious 7’s weekend by 3 times. That movie opened earlier this month to $147 million.
It would be insane if Avengers: Age of Ultron manages to open to anything close to $230 million. Only Star War VII: The Force Awakens or Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice might be able to come close to these numbers.
