Autonauts has been receiving various content updates since launch. These have included new things like an overhauled fishing system, new bot programming updates, and much more! The team is looking to not stop that content flow with a new update released for Autonauts today. The new update is known as the Age of Enlightenment and brings along some new ways to get your colonists involved. To celebrate the update, there’s a trailer showing off the new changes and some of Autonauts as a game that you can find below.

Age of Enlightenment lets you introduce your colonists to the idea of culture. You can automate art and silk production to provide your colonists with a steady stream of things to improve their Wuv output. To go with this, you can now build a spaceport. This can be used to export goods from your planet to other planets and increase relations with them. This should provide a lot more for players to get their bots to do and ease the workload on themselves. There are a couple of extra changes as well, but we’ll leave those for you to find. If you hop into the game and check the new changes out, be sure to let us know your thoughts. These sound great for late-game players, so I’ll be hopping in and checking it out.

Not aware of Autonauts already? It’s a resource automation simulator from both Denki and Curve Digital. The game has you starting in a randomly generated world with very little to work with. You use the resources around you to craft basic tools and work towards your first bot. From there, you keep moving up and up till you have a whole factory producing new things and storing resources. We reviewed it a few months ago, and it was an absolute blast to play. It has a massive amount of content, and doing each thing feels rewarding once you automate it. If the game sounds fun to you, you can check it out on Steam.
