Although Matthew Schultz debuted his music career by creating the rock band Cage The Elephant, he has worked on different projects, including fashion design, visual art, and performance art.

The versatile artist’s fashion designs centered on boots. In 2019, he initiated his first shoe collection, The Frye Collection. Later that year, he organized his first art show in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, partnering with Danny Cole and a few others.

Despite having explored, Schultz remains committed to his music band, and over the years, their songs have been a hit. Matthew Schultz’s Arrest Days Into the New Year

Matthew Schultz’s arrest was orchestrated by hotel staff at the Bowery Hotel on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. The unidentified person mentioned seeing the visitor with a firearm in a public restroom on Wednesday night.

The following morning, cops came knocking on Schultz’s door. Interestingly, Matthew Schultz recognized the authorities, whom he told he possessed two 45-caliber guns. While standing in the hallway, he admitted to not being sure of having other weapons. This led to Matthew Schultz’s arrest, and he was moved to the 9th precinct station house.

The 39-year-old spent the night at the station house in Manhattan while the police were granted a search warrant for his room. In his room, they found a Sig Sauer and a Smith & Wesson— loaded. After two nights in custody, the experienced soundtrack composer was rushed to the Bellevue Hospital.

This is His First Time In Custody

This is the first time the Tennessee native will be arrested. Schultz, known for contributions to the band, earned Cage The Elephant several accolades.

The group was first nominated in 2011 for the MTV Music Video Awards and in 2014 for the Best Alternative Music Album. But in 2016 and 2019, they won two Grammys.
