Dune was one of the most successful movies of 2021. Part of that success was due to the film’s incredible cast. To ensure further success with the upcoming sequel, more actors will be needed to bolster up the cast once again. Thankfully, according to Deadline, Austin Butler is negotiating with Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment for a role in Dune Part Two‘s cast. If the negotiations go well, Deadline indicates that Butler will play the role of Feyd-Rautha.

However, Austin Butler is not the only actor in talks to join Dune Part Two. Yesterday, news broke that Florence Pugh is also in negotiations for the role of Princess Irulan Corrino in Dune Part Two. Adding these two brilliant young actors to the upcoming Dune sequel will help expand the cast with other young talents.

If it all works out, Austin Butler will be joining many of the stars from the first movie. This includes Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, and Josh Brolin, who are all expected to reprise their roles. The director, the producer, and co-screenwriter of Dune, Denis Villeneuve, is also expected to be returning for Dune Part Two.

Sting initially played the role of Feyd-Rautha in David Lynch’s 1984 adaptation of Dune. Rautha is one of the many characters beloved by fans of the Dune novel. In it, Rautha is not only the nephew but also the heir of Baron Vladimir Harkonnen. Much like his uncle, Feyd-Rautha is cruel and cunning.

Who is Austin Butler?

Austin Butler is perhaps most recognizable for his role in Quentin Tarantino’s most recent film, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. Butler plays one of the hippies from Charles Manson’s compound that attempts to kill Sharon Tate. However, audiences will soon see Butler as the lead in Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming biopic Elvis, which features Butler as the “King of Rock N’ Roll.”
