The latest card revealed from Hearthstone’s upcoming expansion, The Boomsday Project, is a neutral Beast.

Augmented Elekk is a three-mana minion with three attack and four health. It also has an ability that activates whenever you shuffle a card into a deck and allows you to shuffle in an extra copy of that card.

Beasts are a type of minion that are generally associated with the Hunter and Druid archetypes—so Augmented Elekk could see play in these types of decks once the new expansion goes live.

But Augmented Elekk’s ability means that you’ll likely want to combo it with other cards that benefit from being shuffled into a deck. Kingsbane, for example, is a Rogue weapon that has a Deathrattle ability that allows you to shuffle it into your deck and keep any enchantments.

Another Rogue card that could work well with Augmented Elekk is Lab Recruiter, which is a two-mana minion who’s Battlecry lets you shuffle three copies of a friendly minion into your deck. If you combine Lab Recruiter with Augmented Elekk, you could get six copies of a minion shuffled into your deck.

It’s still too early to tell exactly how this card will play, however, since all of the expansion’s cards haven’t been revealed yet.

The Boomsday Project is Hearthstone’s second expansion of the current Standard year, the Year of the Raven. Roughly 135 cards will join the game, along with new keywords like Magnetic. All of the The Boomsday Project cards will become available on Aug. 7—and prospective buyers can already preorder this expansion.
