When discussing what is important in delivering an impressive gaming experience, more often than not, the first things that get brought up revolve around visuals. A good screen that can fully showcase a game’s visuals is usually at the top of a gamer’s wishlist (among components that build a PC good enough for the occasion of course), but a factor that can get disregarded is good audio. Seeing is important, but hearing is just as important as a factor for increasing immersion, and we need hardware capable of delivering the best sound experience. ASTRO Gaming recognizes this need, and earlier today, the hardware maker announced the latest addition to their award-winning family of premium video gaming equipment.

The AO3 In-Ear Monitor is designed for both mobile and console gaming and separates itself from traditional earbuds by including two drivers in each earbud. One is dedicated to enhancing bass, and the other focuses more on delivering better mids and highs. Aron Drayer, VP of Marketing for ASTRO Gaming, had this to say:

Gamers want a convenient way to enjoy pro-grade audio while on the go. The new A03 IEM expands our line-up with a competitively priced solution designed to deliver the sound quality, comfort, and style ASTRO customers expect.”

While compatible with PCs, ASTRO has positioned this within the mobile and console space. The A03s will be compatible with the Xbox, PlayStation and Switch console families, as well as mobile and tablet devices that support the standard headphone format. ASTRO have also said that the A03s will be supported by the ASTRO MixAmp Pro TR, which is a decent option for people who see high-quality audio as a necessity to their gaming lives.

The A03s will be available for $50 and in two sets of colours – white/purple and black/red (while the black and red is more “gamer”-orientated, I think that the white and purple is a really solid look).
