Assassin’s Creed’s Reimagined Features
As you know, Assassin’s Creed has been a franchise constantly innovating between each game. The game has always brought new mechanics to freshen things up. In today’s trailer, we saw gameplay mechanics resurface from an old favorite, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. In the trailer, we saw the fleet of the protagonist, Eivor, firing upon a naval fort. In Valhalla, we can expect fort battles once again which is great to see. We also see the conquest battles in the new trailer. Based on the storyline, conquest battles for territory will make up a big part of the upcoming game. These are a few of the revisited gameplay mechanics, but what about new features?
The New World of Valhalla
In the trailer, we see a whole new world of gameplay taking place across the isles. The most notable new mechanic is the Viking settlement, which will allow you to make an unforgettable home. This settlement will be your focus in the storyline of the game. The player will gain villagers, build resources, and create a powerful Viking force. In this settlement, you will have the ability to construct a blacksmith, stables, material shops, and a barracks.
The barracks will be showcasing a new feature with the buildable Vikings. Build a Viking will allow you to personally design your own custom crew. These Vikings can be personalized to equip armor, shields, and swords for battle. As well as their Jomsviking, which will be a powerful Viking lieutenant for your fleet. The trailer is not all war, as fun can be had too within your settlement. The settlement can arrange feasts, you can play games with villagers and even drink alongside your comrades.
